Changes to the BREEAM In-Use fees from 1st July 2022!
In light of “economic conditions” BRE is informing its BREEAM In-Use (BIU) Assessors that they are increasing prices for BREEAM registration, QA and certification for several schemes on 1st July 2022.
Registration and certification fees can be locked in at today’s prices by purchasing before that date.
As a reminder for the organisations interested in certifying their assets this year, clients must purchase for £540 (used to be £500) a Performance Measurement Credit to activate their registration on the BIU Online Platform. The Performance Measurement Credit is charged per asset and allows unlimited use of the BIU questionnaire and dynamic scoring functionality for a period of up to 12 months and/or until the assessment is submitted for certification, whichever is sooner.
Seeking Verification and formal Certification. Provided an active asset measurement is registered, at any point during the 12-month validity of the assessment, clients can engage with a BIU licensed Assessor to verify their answers and provide certification for the asset. The consultancy fees paid to the Assessor’s organisation who provides the advisory services are done so outside of any of the BRE systems or processes. BRE’s new certification fees are £870 per asset per Part (used to be £800).
Mid-cycle Certifications. Certificates issued against Part 1 or Part 2 are valid for up to 3 years. If the clients wish to submit new information or change the decision regarding their certificate within this time frame they can opt to take part in mid-cycle certification, the result of which will be valid for the remaining time on the original certificate (i.e. not for additional 3 years). The associated fee payable to BRE is £270 (used to be £250). Again, any consultancy fees paid to the Assessor’s organisation who provides the advisory services are done so outside of any of the BRE systems or processes. At E.S.G. Solutions we provide the mid-cycle certification advisory services for free, provided that we issued the original certificate and clients can provide fully QA auditable evidence about the proposed changes.
