The Environment Agency is informing all ESOS (Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme) participants that the new IT system is still being developed to allow participants to complete the reporting requirements for Phase 3 due by Wednesday 5th June 2024.
As explained in the government technical guidance, the new system requires that each organisation’s Responsible Undertaking registers for an account. To try and make this as easy as possible the EA need to ensure that they have the most up to date information for the ESOS participants’ Responsible Undertaking. When the new system goes live, the EA can then contact the right people to provide a unique link in order to complete registration.
To achieve this, the EA is asking that all ESOS participants complete a simple on-line form which requires basic company and contact information as well as the name of the designated Lead Assessor.
Where Lead Assessors are completing this information on behalf of ESOS participants it is important to reiterate that the Relevant Undertaking Primary Contact details/email are of a participant employee. The EA would be grateful if ESOS participants could complete the form by Friday 16th February.
Any questions then please contact the ESOS team’s helpdesk at [email protected], part of the Climate Change Trading & Regulatory Services (CCTRS).
